In true 21st century romance fashion, we met online in late 2021/early 2022. We bonded over our shared interest in nerdy crap, and had our first date on February 13th 2022.
Sarah ensured Jamie was immediately aware of the level of competitiveness he would be subjected to within the family if he stuck around, and brought UNO to play before the movie. It's very important to start as you mean to go on!

Thanks to a fateful coin flip- and Sarah's friend contracting COVID meaning a spa break might otherwise go unenjoyed- there was indeed a second date which cemented the fact that we definitely fancied each other.
We first said "I love you" on 30th March 2022, and coincidentally adopted our 2 silly senior beagles Ruby and Ginny on 30th March 2024, hence the wedding date! Big thanks to Margaret Bonass-Madden for agreeing to share her birthday with us!
In November 2025, Jamie proposed after making a full roast dinner- definitely the way to both of our hearts- and setting up a makeshift blanket fort surrounded by tealights and sleeping farting dogs. He made a compilation of 80s and 90s cartoons interspersed with lovely personal messages from Sarah's friends, family, and a couple of comedians/voice actors she enjoys. He had attempted to contact some of the Real Housewives for the video, but some of those bitches charge an extortionate fee. But never fear: Magz arranged for a congratulatory message from Ramona from the Real Housewives of New York! Truly we are blessed to walk amongst such stars <3
We've supported each other through bereavements and successes, and are looking forward to celebrating our big day with you! We've travelled to numerous places in Ireland, the UK, and France together, and hope to extend our reach to further destinations post-wedding. We're considering Italy for the honeymoon, let us know if there's something we HAVE to do!
