Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When and where?
A: 30th March 2027 in Ballymagarvey Village, Co Meath. The Ceremony is at 3pm and room check-in is available afterwards. Access to the grounds is from 2.30pm and we ask that guests arrive to the venue ready, as early check in cannot be facilitated and public changing facilities are very limited. Check out is strictly at 12 noon on the day of departure.

Q: Is there parking on-site?
A: Yes, lots!

Q: How do I get there if I can't drive?
A: If you make us aware of logistical issues in reaching the venue as soon as possible, we could try to arrange a shuttle bus if there's enough interest. It's between Ashbourne and Slane, so taxis or maybe the Collins coach could get you there!
Q: Is breakfast included if we stay on-site in the Village?
A: Yes, breakfast is included for all guests staying on-site. Breakfast is served in the large conservatory in the Manor House between 8.30am and 10.30am.

Q: How much is it to stay on-site?
A: For the Manor House or Lisa's Secret Garden rooms- €135 per person sharing. There is a supplement of €45 for single occupancy. For the Courtyard buildings- €125 per person sharing. There is a supplement of €40 for single occupancy. The numerous Courtyard buildings consist of several individual rooms within the one building. If you RSVP'd prior to 30 March 2026, your name is on a provisional room list so friend/family groups could be close together. If you did NOT RSVP prior to 30 March 2026, the rooms will be allocated first-come first-served! Regardless of when you RSVP'd, you'll have to contact Ballymagarvey Village directly to book your room. See the Accommodation tab for more info!
Q: What should I wear?
A: This is a formal event but we would love a lot of colour, and would like for people to wear comfy shoes for dancing. It's a long day and we value your comfort!

Q: Is it an indoor or outdoor wedding?
A: The ceremony will be indoors. There will be fire pits and twinkly lighting throughout the Village in the evening if you wish to escape the reception madness for some fresh air or have a sneaky cig/vape. No smoking or vaping indoors!
Q: When does the bar close?
A: 1:30am
Q: Is this a child-free event?
A: Yes, thank you for understanding! A special exception has been made for Luke Keenan (brother of the groom, née 2001, child in perpetuity).
Q: Is this a pet-free event?
A: Unfortunately yes. We hope to have our beloved half-blind OAP daughter Ruby make a special appearance after the ceremony for photos, but no other pets are permitted on-site.

Q: Do you have a registry?
A: We value your presence at the event beyond anything else. We recognise that the cost associated with weddings goes beyond the Bride and Groom. We won't have a set gift registry. Any cash gifts are very welcome but not expected. On the day, you will also find QR codes around the venue that will allow you to donate to our favourite charities.
Important note to all attending Bonasses and Maddens: 30th March 2027 is also Margaret Bonass-Madden's 55th birthday, so make sure you get her something nice and treat her like a queen!
Q: Can I bring my own food on-site?
A: Outside food is not permitted in Ballymagarvey Village, and if you're caught they may ask you to leave. So our sage advice would be: don't get caught. No crisps or popcorn especially. It's a nice venue, don't make a big mess!
Q: What if I have dietary concerns?
A: We'll include a space on the official invitation for you to alert us of anything important to pass along to the food team. Mia Madden, you've already been considered, don't @ me.
